This is where the ‘shit’ part of ‘Songs From A Shit Summer’ really kicked in. In early July my fiancé, after cheating on me at a house party among other things, broke up with me citing that she didn’t love me anymore. Whilst that was completely understandable, I was still heartbroken. I wrote this song a few days later in the midst of my misery in Piccadilly Gardens, and I think it captures the sadness I felt that summer.
