I wrote this song around 2018 during a quiet shift at work about a colleague whom I had a crush on but I had written it off as "never going to happen". The title is a reference to the Disney Channel "Suite Life On Deck", where protagonist Cody's 6-month plan to court his love interest Bailey includes "Month 1-Admire from afar. Month 2-Admire from slightly less afar"
